Authentication and payment protocol preserving location privacy in mobile IP
نویسندگان
چکیده
Mobile IP enables a mobile node (MN) to move around without losing their transport-layer connectivity by using resources in a foreign domain network. Mobile IP (MIP) is expected to be the core infrastructure of future mobile communication, but two services must be provided before the wide deployment of MIP. One is to provide secure communication and the other is to make payment. Security services, such as authentication and access control, have been considered since the birth of MIP, but little attention has been given to location privacy and anonymity services despite of their increased significance in wireless network. Incontestable payment protocol must be also developed, considering the usage of foreign domain network resources by the MN. As mix-network provides basic concept of location privacy protection, this paper proposes an authentication and payment protocol hiding location information, based on mixnetwork.

Location Privacy in Mobile IPv6 Distributed Authentication Protocol Using Mobile Home Agents
Mobile IPv6 will be the basis for the fourth generation 4G networks which will completely revolutionize the way telecommunication devices operate. This paradigm shift will occur due to the sole use of packed switching networks. Mobile IPv6 utilizes binding updates as a route optimization to reduced triangle routing between the mobile node, the home agent and the correspondent node, allowing dir...

In a mobile environment, a number of users act as a network nodes and communicate with one another to acquire location based information and services. This emerging paradigm has opened up new business opportunities and enables numerous applications such as road safety enhancement, service recommendations and mobile entertainment. A fundamental issue that impacts the success of these application...

متن کاملALPP: anonymous and location privacy preserving scheme for mobile IPv6 heterogeneous networks
The integration of mobile IPv6 heterogeneous networks enhances networking performance; however, it also breaks mobile node’s anonymity and location privacy. In this paper, we propose an anonymous and location privacy preserving (ALPP) scheme that consists of two complementary subschemes: anonymous home binding update and anonymous return routability. In addition, anonymous mutual authentication...
متن کاملLocation Privacy in Mobile IPv6
The Mobile IPv6 protocol includes a route optimization mechanism that improves routing efficiency by informing correspondent nodes about the current care-of address of the mobile node. Mobile node physical location may be associated with its topologically correct IP address. Revealing the mobile node’s care-of address can therefore be used to track the mobile with certain accuracy, which compro...
